Metropolitan Talent, Inc. is a multi-faceted entertainment company that offers artists the ability to foster relationships in many areas by ultimately providing more focused career development. Led by music industry veterans John Scher and Al Cafaro, and with multiple divisions (Hybrid Recordings, Metropolitan Talent Presents, Artist Management, theater and television production), Metropolitan Talent, Inc. is uniquely positioned to provide artists with the full-service and numerous opportunities their careers require.

Artist Management

Metropolitan Talent Management’s artist roster includes:  Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member, Art Garfunkel whose current release via Atco Records, Some Enchanted Evening celebrates material from the 20th Century’s greatest songwriters; Multi-Grammy winner, songwriter/pianist/vocalist, Bruce Hornsby, who recently commemorated his 20 years in music with Intersections: 1985-2005 , a four-disc and dvd retrospective box set, and released two additional albums in 2007 one of which, Camp Meeting, is a collaboration with jazz greats Christian McBride and Jack DeJohnette, and another where he joins forces with bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs for a collaborative album (both projects released via Sony Legacy); One of the hardest working bands in show biz, Little Feat (co-managed with Cameron Sears), who, since 1969, have been a lasting fixture on the musical landscape with their freewheeling fusion of California rock, Dixie-inflected funk-boogie and polished, first-rate musicianship wrapped around eclectic and memorable songs like Dixie Chicken and Fat Man in the Bathtub.
Previous management clients include Bob Weir & RatDog, The Allman Brothers Band , the cranberries, Lou Reed, Lucinda Williams, Vertical Horizon, Rusted Root, Los Lobos, John Hiatt, and Donovan.

Hybrid Recordings

Hybrid Recordings recently announced a new worldwide distribution agreement with SonyBMG's RED Distribution. Currently releases include Johnette Napolitano's crictically acclaimed solo album Scarred, and folk-rock group Assembly of Dust new album Recollection. In 2006, Hybrid released the first new album in 10 years from the Gin Blossoms (Major Lodge Victory), Strays Don't Sleep (CD/DVD Pacakge), and Jen Chapin (Ready). In 2005, Hybrid released All Hours' In Flgarante Delicto, The Sound Of Urchin's The Diamond, Shake The Hand That Shook The World from Pepper's Ghost, and Vertical Horizon's GO. Metropolitan Talent Presents

Metropolitan Talent Presents is a preeminent producer of world class live entertainment and has presented a vast array of artists including Bob Dylan, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Tool, Eric Clapton, Foo Fighters, Guns N’ Roses, Simon & Garfunkel, Dane Cook, Taking Back Sunday, My Chemical Romance, Iron Maiden and Green Day. In addition to promoting events in arenas, theaters and clubs in New York and throughout the northeast US, Metropolitan was also the tour producer of the highly successful INXS “Switched On” North American Tour in 2006. Metropolitan holds exclusive booking agreements at two New York City venues: The Concert Hall, an 815 seat theater located at 64th Street at Central Park West, and at the 450 capacity club The Canal Room, located at Canal Street and West Broadway. Metropolitan Talent, Inc. has joined with SEE Touring, Inc. to be the national promoter of Star Trek The Tour, a multi-media mobile theme park celebrating the 40th anniversary of the incredibly successful franchise. Explore the extraordinary world of STAR TREK featuring fascinating interactive exhibits, show-based simulators, a multimedia Encounter Theater and the largest collection ever of sets, props and costumes anywhere. Together, these components offer STAR TREK fans and novices alike an unprecedented encounter with the phenomenon that is STAR TREK.

Theater & Television Production

Past projects spearheaded by Metropolitan include PBS specials like “My Favorite Broadway,” starring Julie Andrews and “A Tribute to Muddy Waters: King of the Blues,” as well as other television network specials like “Elvis: The Tribute” on ABC and “Woodstock ‘99” on FOX. Theatrical presentations include “Victor Victoria,” “Jelly’s Last Jam,” “Damn Yankees,” and “Thwack.” Currently, there are a number of theatrical projects in the works written by or about contemporary musical icons.
